Kurtenok Elena Petrovna

Kurtenok Elena Petrovnawas born in Gomel (Belarus). In 1996-2001 after graduating from Gomel Musical College named after N. Sokolovski she studied at Belorussian State University of Culture and Arts, specialty «folk-instrumental performing arts», and got Bachelor’s degree. In 2009 she finished graduate school of State Institute of Arts, Ethnography and Folklore named after K. Krapiva of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Dissertation research theme – «Musical culture of Gomel in late 18 – early 21 cent.: stages of development» (supervisor – Prof. Dr. Ph. T.G. Mdivani). Since 2002 she worked as lecturer and art critic, since 2008 – as art director of State Institution «Gomel Regional Philharmonic». Since 2011 till present she is a senior researcher of art department of the museum of State historical-cultural institution «GomelPalace and Park Ensemble». Kurtenok Elena – a member of the the Belarusian Music Professionals Union.
